Clinical Observations on Vaginal Candidiasis by Goldberg¢¥s Simplified Method

Abstract
Some clinical observations on vaginal candidiasis were made for 336 patients sampled at random.
1. 12% of f total 336 patients (44 cases) was proven pasittve for vaginal candidiasis.
2. Among the candidiasis-positive cases, pregnant women occupied 18.5% and the non-pregnants 10.18%.
3. The incidence of candidiasis increased proportionately with the duration of pregnancy.
4. The highest incidence (15.7% ) was found at the secretory phase of endometrium.
5. The age incidence-was¢¥highest at 20 to 29 years of age.
6. Two-third of the-positive cases complained of pruritus.
7. There was not found any correlation between the number of delivery and the incidence of candidiasis.
8. Nor was found any correlation between vaginal discharge and the candidiasis.
9. Any significant correlation of vaginal candidiasis with the use of antibiotics and of loop was not found.
